Dr. Matthew Graviss

In December 2020, Dr. Matthew Graviss became the Chief Data and Artificial Intelligence Officer of the Department of State. In this role, Dr. Graviss is responsible for making data accessible, interoperable, and actionable across the Department of State. He also serves as the Managing Director for the Office of Management Strategy and Solution’s Center for Analytics (CfA), which aims to imbue the Department with a data focused culture and corresponding talent, advance data governance, expand analytics capability, and modernize data technology solutions.
Prior to joining the State Department, Dr. Graviss spent 13 years in leadership positions at the Department of Homeland Security, as well as time in the private sector. Most recently, Dr. Graviss spent two and a half years as the first Chief Data Officer at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services within DHS, where he led data management and analytics services for USCIS’ 20,000 person workforce.
Graviss holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Auburn University, a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University, and a doctorate in systems engineering from George Washington University. He is a Level 3 certified acquisition professional in program management, systems engineering, and test and evaluation. He is also a graduate of American University’s Key Executive Leadership program.
Lori Wade

Ms. Lori Wade was appointed as the Intelligence Community Chief Data Officer in May 2022. In this role, Ms. Wade is responsible for leading the Intelligence Community’s strategic initiative to re-imagine the future of the IC’s data landscape in the digital era.
Ms. Wade has a wealth of executive leadership experience, expertise, and passion for solving digital, data, and organizational challenges, driving inclusive change, and delivering results with impact. She has more than 20 years of experience working in and leading diverse technology, data, and AI/ML teams across the IC in both a private and public capacity.
Previously, Ms. Wade served as the CIA’s Deputy Chief Data Officer and Deputy Director of the Agency’s Data Office where she excelled at integrating and negotiating across agency and IC organizational lines to drive inclusive change. She integrated efforts and collaborated across the CIA directorates and mission centers, engaged CDOs, technology and thought leaders across the IC, and with key foreign partners to devise strategic and tactical options to increase the speed of data sharing for mission use. She has embedded data expertise directly with mission to drive end-to-end data management, significantly increasing the speed of data in the intelligence cycle.
Ms. Wade also served as CIA Directorate of Digital Innovation’s Chief for the Global Issues Mission Center and the East Asia and Pacific Mission Center and Korea Mission Center.
In prior roles at ODNI, Ms. Wade served as Chief of the Mission Capabilities Group in the Office of the Deputy DNI for Intelligence Integration. She also served as Chief Operating Officer for the National Counterterrorism Center, as well as Chief of Staff for NCTC’s Directorate of Intelligence.
Prior to joining ODNI in 2008, Ms. Wade worked in private industry for Booz Allen Hamilton where she completed assignments with NRO, FBI, and DHS/CBP.
Ms. Wade earned a M.S. in Organizational Learning/Knowledge Management from George Mason University and a B.S. in Business Administration/Marketing from Western Carolina University.

Dave Martinez is entering his seventh season as the manager of the Washington
Nationals after being named the seventh field manager in team history on Oct. 30, 2017.
- In six seasons in Washington, he has led the club through a steady, unwavering approach, consistent strategy and never-ending positivity and support for players...That includes an improbable run to the 2019 World Series Championship.
- Martinez Is the longest-tenured and winningest manager in Nationals history (2005-pres.)...Passed Manny Acta, who managed 410 games from 2007-09 on May 6, 2021 at Atlanta...With a 2-1 win on June 4, 2021 at Philadelphia, he passed Davey Johnson (2011-13) for the most managerial wins in Nationals history (2005-pres.) with 225.
- Agreed to a multi-year contract extension on Aug. 22, 2023.
- The 2023 season marks Martinez’s 36th season in professional baseball, including 10 years (2008-17) as a Major League bench coach.
- From 2015-17, he served as the bench coach for the Chicago Cubs...He played an integral role in three Postseason appearances, two National League Central Division titles and the Cubs’ 2016 World Series Championship.
- Prior to joining the Cubs, Martinez spent seven seasons (2008-14) as the bench coach for the Tampa Bay Rays...Martinez joined the Rays in 2008 after serving as a Spring Training instructor for them in 2006 and 2007...Joe Maddon offered Martinez the bench coach job and he went on to serve that role for ten seasons.

Robert Carey is a highly recognized public sector leader in enterprise information technology and cybersecurity. He currently serves as President of Cloudera Government Solutions where he leads sales, engineering, operations, and marketing teams to solve customer data driven digital transformation challenges across Federal, State and Local Governments. Previously, he led all aspects of RSA’s public sector business as General Manager and Vice President, and was Vice President of cybersecurity, cloud, and unified capabilities at General Dynamics Information Technology.
Rob retired from the Department of Defense (DoD) in 2014 after over 30 years of distinguished public service. His last assignment was a 3 1⁄2 year tour as the DoD Principal Deputy Chief Information Officer where worked tirelessly to strengthen our nation’s cybersecurity, while accelerating deployment of mobile solutions for the warfighter. He was recalled to active duty for Operation Desert Shield/Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom where he served with the I Marine Expeditionary Force in 2006. Rob retired from the United States Navy Reserve as a Captain in the Civil Engineer Corps.
Rob was recognized with the Navy’s Distinguished Civilian Service Award (twice) as well as the Superior and Meritorious Civilian Service Award. He also received the prestigious Federal 100 Award multiple times and was named the Defense Executive of the Year by Government Computer News in 2009. Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Engineering Management from George Washington University.
