Betsy Beaumon is the Chief Transformation Officer at the Social Security Administration, responsible for Customer & User Experience, accessibility and change management.  She is the former CEO of Benetech, a nonprofit delivering software for social good, developing and scaling products to address inclusion, equity, and justice for marginalized communities in over 50 countries. She coined the term “Born Accessible” to describe the goal of digital content and products that work for all from the start. Betsy previously held executive roles in product management, customer service, and consulting across the tech sector, including co-founding two pioneering start-ups: the first web-based information and referral service for social services and one of the first online global trade management platforms. Betsy has been an active board member, advisor, and volunteer, as well as author and speaker.  She holds a degree in electrical engineering from Northwestern University.

Jon Booth is the Director of the Web and Emerging Technologies Group (WETG) in the CMS Office of Communications (OC). In this position, Jon oversees CMS' public websites program, which includes Healthcare.gov, Medicare.gov, CMS.gov, Medicaid.gov, InsureKidsNow.gov, and other websites. WETG includes 4 divisions that support Agile Development, DevOps, User Experience, and program/project/contract management.
 
Jon is leading a team consisting of internal CMS staff and contract developers focused on an effort to modernize CMS’ public websites, including improvements to the online services CMS offers to citizens under all of the programs the Agency oversees, technology modernization, cloud operations, security, mobile optimization, and development of public APIs.
Prior to this position, Jon was the Deputy Director of the Creative Services Group. In this position he led the launch of the Agency's social media channels as well as the Medicare & You Web project.
 
Jon has worked throughout CMS through his career and has supported the launch of the Agency's websites, IT governance, and numerous communication initiatives. Jon has been at CMS for over 30 years.

Lee Ann Crochunis is the Deputy Director of the Office of Information Technology (OIT) at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) – the largest health insurer in the nation. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, she is responsible for a wide range of IT services, products, and systems that support the Medicare, Medicaid, and Marketplace programs, along with meeting the IT needs of thousands of CMS employees.

During the first 15 years of her career at CMS, Lee Ann worked on a wide range of issues such as Medicare Program Integrity, Y2K remediation, and agency-wide risk and project management. Later, she led change management for the Medicare fee-for-service program; planning for the procurement and implementation of Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs); and, MAC contract performance and IT security compliance.  Next, Lee Ann spent 10 years working part-time in the private sector focusing on helping companies design and deliver IT support solutions for CMS and other federal agencies. During that time, she served as Chief Growth Officer for an 8(a) company as well as directed projects for several engagements with CMS and the Office of the National Coordinator.

Returning to CMS in 2018, Lee Ann has held several leadership roles within OIT. Before moving into her current role, Lee Ann served as Director of the Applications Management Group where she was responsible for the management and operations of a complex suite of IT Systems that support the Medicare program and CMS.

Lee Ann holds a BA in mathematics from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and an MBA from the University of Baltimore.

George Jackson serves as vice president of events at GovExec, the largest and most influential media company in the public sector marketplace. He launched GovExec TV in 2021 and built it
into a multi-million dollar business, receiving GovExec’s first annual Entrepreneurial Spirit Award and a 2024 “B2B Media Rising Star Award” from the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA).

Previously, George produced Capital Insider at WJLA-TV, where he won an Emmy award in 2012. One year later, he developed and recorded the pilot episode of Government Matters, a program about the business of government, which debuted as a weekly show on Sunday, August 4, 2013. He led the show through September 2020, expanded its reach to a daily worldwide audience, and produced its first feature-length documentary, The Dawn of Generation AI.

George’s roots lay in TV, journalism, and storytelling. He spent the first five years of his professional career at WJHL-TV in Johnson City, Tenn., where he began as an overnight producer and then became the lead on-air reporter for the station’s 11 p.m. newscast. He covered and investigated the earnings of two non-profit hospital systems, felony charges filed against a local sheriff, predatory paving companies, a health benefits backlog for local veterans, and a series of cold case murder investigations. He received an honorable mention for Best TV Reporter in the 2011 Tennessee AP Broadcast awards and won a Best Investigative Reporting award from Media General in 2010.

George graduated from The Ohio State University in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in English. In 2006, he earned his master’s in broadcast journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park.

George is from Toledo, Ohio. He lives with his wife, twin daughters, and a pack of rescue dogs in Northern Virginia.
