Dr. Stephanie Brown Reitmeier was appointed to the Senior Executive Service February 11, 2024. She serves as the Director for the Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration (S3I) Directorate, U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Aviation & Missile Center. Under her direction, S3I develops and delivers responsive aviation and missile total life cycle systems engineering, prototyping, cyber, software, protective technologies, and systems simulation engineering to enable readiness and ensure transformation of the U.S. Army to optimize joint Warfighter capabilities at the point of need. S3I is also the home of AvMC’s Prototype Integration Facility (PIF) - the premier provider of rapid response and integrated hardware solutions. She leads a highly skilled, credible, and diverse workforce, which is responsive to customer requirements: cost, schedule, and performance. Dr. Reitmeier directs execution of over $2B in Army and Joint Service funding ensuring the readiness of both the current and future force aviation and missile systems.

Prior to her current assignment, she served as the Associate Director for the DEVCOM Aviation & Missile Center’s Propulsion and Structures Area within the Technology Development Directorate (TDD). There she provided leadership, management, direction and supervision for team members providing life cycle support activities for missile and auxiliary systems supporting the Army’s modernization and sustainment priorities including: Science and Technology, prototyping, sustainment, and demilitarization activities.

Throughout her career she has held a variety of leadership positions at DEVCOM AvMC, providing technical expertise and leadership for the development of weapon systems and technology. Dr. Reitmeier has successfully lead efforts in both the customer reimbursable and S&T arena. Her focus on teamwork has led to the successful transition of missile technologies ranging from launchers to thermal protection systems for hypersonic weapons. Her technical background in missile development, demilitarization and system simulation has provided her a unique prospective on the life cycle of weapon system development. 

Dr. Reitmeier has a proven track record of creating and employing teams of government and industry partners to meet Army priorities. Her focus on mentoring and employee development has been a constant personal and professional focus.

Dr. Reitmeier completed her Bachelors of Science and Master degrees in Electrical Engineering and her Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering through the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

As a member of the Senior Executive Service since April 16, 2017, Ms. Swanson currently serves as the Chief Systems Engineer for the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology (ASA(ALT)). In this position, Ms. Swanson leads digital engineering across ASA(ALT), with a focus on implementation of agile software development, DevSecOps, and data centricity.

Ms. Jennifer Swanson previously served as the Director of the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Software Engineering Center (SEC) headquartered in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Ms. Swanson provided state of the art software engineering products and services throughout the Army. The SEC supports C5ISR systems with a portfolio that includes tactical, business and logistics systems. As Director, she oversaw a global mission, running an organization of approximately 3,000 military, civilian and industry employees, with an annual budget in excess of $600 million.

Her previous assignment was Deputy Program Manager (DPM), Mission Command, Program Executive Office for Command Control and Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T), where she oversaw development and fielding of the Army’s mission command suite of software, including Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE). Prior to DPM, she was also Director of Technical Management Division, PEO C3T where she managed the integration of tactical network packages providing mobile voice and data communications across the Brigade Combat Team (BCT) down to the dismounted Soldier with mission command software to provide complete capability to deploying BCTs.

Former assignments include Chief, Technical Management Division of PEO C3T’s former Project Manager, Tactical Radio Communications Systems (PM TRCS), Product Director of PM WIN-T’s Tactical Network Architectures and Configurations-Current, Evaluator with the Army Materiel Systems Analysis Activity and developer and division chief with the CECOM Software Engineering Center.

Ms. Swanson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida, and a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering from Monmouth University. She is Level III certified in Systems Engineering and Program Management.

Pete Gallagher is the Senior Vice President for Technology and Solutions of the National
Security and Innovative Solutions sector for CACI International Inc, an international
provider of expertise and technology serving enterprise and mission defense, intelligence,
and federal civilian government customers.
Major General (Retired) Gallagher joined CACI in July 2021. He now serves as the principal
advisor to the sector president and leads the integration strategy of innovative
technology solutions for national security customers. Pete has over three decades of
national security experience, including top posts with the Army, Defense Information
Services Agency (DISA), the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, and the Special Operations
community to shape technology solutions and expertise that CACI brings to market.
Prior to joining CACI, he served as the Director of the Army Futures Command Network Cross-Functional Team (CFT).
Since joining the U.S. Army in 1986, he served in a wide range of ascending positions, including Commander of Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) and the Chief Information Officer (CIO)/J6 of United States Central Command (CENTCOM).
He commanded troops at the Platoon, Company, Troop, Battalion, Squadron, Brigade, and Army Direct Reporting Unit levels. His command assignments include United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) units including Commander of the Joint Communications Unit, Battalion Commander for the 112th Signal Battalion, and Squadron Commander of a Special Mission Unit. He also served as the Brigade Commander for Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Central Field Command.
Commissioned as a Distinguished Military Graduate from Pittsburg State University, Pete holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a master’s degree in National Security Strategy from the National Defense University. Throughout his distinguished career, he earned numerous awards including the Distinguished Service Medal, three Defense Superior Service Medals, four Legions of Merit, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and three Bronze Stars. He
was twice awarded the Federal Computer Week Magazine Fed 100, inducted in the Pittsburg State University ROTC Hall of Fame, and received the Meritorious Alumni award.

George Jackson is vice president of events at GovExec – the largest and most-influential media company in the public sector marketplace. He joined the company in 2020 to enhance the scale of their events and audience experiences. In 2021, George launched GovExec TV (streaming video content) and received the company’s Entrepreneurial Spirit Award, part of their first-annual Icon Awards. In 2024, George accepted the B2B Media Rising Star Award from SIIA – the Software & Information Industry Association.

George graduated from The Ohio State University in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in English. In 2006, he earned his master’s in broadcast journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park. 

George spent the first five years of his journalism career at WJHL-TV in Johnson City Tenn. – beginning as an overnight producer for the station’s 6 a.m. broadcast. He advanced to lead on-air reporter for WJHL’s 11 p.m. newscast. 

As a reporter, George examined the earnings of two non-profit hospital systems, felony charges filed against a local sheriff, predatory paving companies, a health benefits backlog for local veterans, and a series of cold-case murder investigations. He received an honorable mention for Best TV Reporter in the 2011 Tennessee AP Broadcast awards and won a Best Investigative Reporting award from Media General in 2010.

George joined DC’s ABC affiliate WJLA-TV in 2012 to produce Capital Insider, which won him an Emmy award. One year later, he developed and recorded the pilot episode of Government Matters – a program about the business of government. It debuted as a weekly show on Sunday, August 4th of 2013. George led Government Matters through September of 2020, expanded its reach to a daily worldwide audience, and produced its first feature-length documentary The Dawn of Generation AI.

George is from Toledo, Ohio. He lives with his wife, twin daughters, and a pair of rescue dogs in Northern Virginia.
