Juliana Slye is the Founder and CEO of Government Business Results (GBR), a nationwide firm headquartered in Virginia. Tech companies rely on GBR for the Go-To-Market services (strategy, marketing, content, enablement) and staffing support they need to more effectively market and sell to government agencies. Recently, GBR was named one of the Fastest-Growing Private Companies by Inc.

Juliana has 20 years of experience helping tech companies achieve success in the government markets. Her career roles in the government industry included field marketing, sales, product management, product marketing and business management.   Prior to founding GBR in 2010, she was responsible for running the global government industry teams, including business strategy, marketing, enablement and solutions, for tech titans Autodesk, Adobe, Macromedia and Silicon Graphics (SGI). Juliana is actively involved in National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) and the National Training and Simulation Association (NTSA), where she serves in in various leadership roles.  She is a sought-after speaker, and regularly delivers training, seminars and panels on government marketing and business growth topics.

An experienced communications professional and educator, Dan Drummond has worked on and led high-performing teams in the private sector, a university, international and national non-profit organizations, and top public relations firms in the country representing global corporations. Dan now serves as Head of External Communications on the Corporate Communications and Community Engagement team at Peraton, a next-generation national security and technology company. At Peraton, Dan leads a high-performing team of marketing and communications professionals raising awareness of the brand, the business, and telling its story.

Dan got his start in journalism and is dedicated to staying true to his roots as a storyteller no matter how the story is told - and doing it to meet strategic and business objectives. At the end of the day, what matters most is whether the audience hears, responds, and is influenced by the message conveyed.

Previously at The Catholic University of America, Dan led a communications team focused on raising awareness of the University, helping it grow enrollment and tell its story to multiple audiences.  In addition to Dan’s professional work, he has been an adjunct professor at Washington, D.C.-area universities, teaching classes in public relations, public affairs, writing, and crisis communications. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Communication at Liberty University, now working on his dissertation on how propaganda is used by American corporations.

Previously, Dan worked as the Director of Communications and Social Media at the United Service Organizations where he led a team tasked with communicating the ways this premier military support organization helps our service members and their families. Other roles Dan has had in his career include founding Commonwealth Public Affairs, LLC, serving as the Director of Communications for the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board), senior positions at Powell Tate and Burson-Marsteller, communications director for Congressman Jim Moran (D-VA), and a journalist, last writing for The Washington Times.

Jaime Orlando is the senior vice president of communications for HII’s Mission Technologies division. She is responsible for the strategy and execution of all integrated marketing, communications and engagement strategies.

Before joining HII, Orlando served as senior director of strategic communications for Peraton, where she led corporate media relations and internal communications and launched the company’s brand identity following its carve-out from Harris Corp.

She joined Harris in 2012 and served as the senior manager of the IT services business and later director of marketing and communications for its critical networks segment. Additionally, she served in a variety of communication and marketing roles with ManTech International, the U.S. Department of State and Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide.

Orlando earned bachelor’s degrees in economics and consumer studies from Virginia Tech and a master’s degree in marketing from Johns Hopkins University. Preceding Iron Bow Josie held various roles in marketing to include partner/alliance marketing, product marketing and sales at Apptis and Unicom (formerly GTSI corp).
