The public sector has been using cloud computing and data centers to process and store mission-critical data. However, edge computing has emerged to assist with these practices, distributing data collection, processing, and storage across the ‘edge’ of the network. This discussion will explore how edge-based technologies can assist the DoD and IC in their data collection, computation, and storage in real-time.
