Decisive Advantage: Moving the Army’s Mission at Speed

Tune In Wednesday, October 28 at 2:00 PM EDT
The Army is working to build a force that can outpace increasingly complex threats across every domain. Achieving that decisive advantage requires more than individual technologies; it requires the ability to turn data into decisions, sustain distributed forces in contested environments, defend critical infrastructure and networks, and rapidly integrate software-enabled capabilities into the tactical fight.
At AUSA 2026, GovExec TV will explore what it takes to build and sustain that advantage through 2030 and beyond. The discussion will examine four interconnected priorities: decision advantage through data and AI; sustainment advantage through resilient, contested logistics; defended advantage through the convergence of cyber and electronic warfare; and tactical advantage through software-enabled automation, directed energy, and uncrewed systems.
Discussion Topics:
- The strategic frame — what "decisive advantage" means for the Army and why now.
- The capability vectors — how data & AI, contested logistics, cyber, and software-enabled hardware each contribute to overmatch.
- The enterprise engine — how the backbone (UERP, MILCON, soldier experience) scales and sustains the edge.
- The path to 2030 — what the Army and industry must do together to field this advantage at speed.
