With nearly two decades of experience in public administration, she specializes in leveraging data and technology to improve operational efficiency and strategic planning. Her expertise lies in developing comprehensive methodologies that transform data into valuable insights, optimize processes, and refine administrative procedures. She creates practical, actionable solutions that lead to meaningful improvements in community services.

 

Educated at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University and the University of Maryland, College Park, Kiersten is currently a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, focusing on advancing data governance and management within public affairs. Throughout her career, she has tackled complex data-related challenges, translating them into tangible benefits for government operations and communities. Her work bridges the gap between data analysis and practical application in the public sector, empowering officials and policymakers with tools for data-informed decision-making.

Jessica Gateff is the deputy director of Data Services for the State of Oklahoma, bringing over 15 years of expertise in marketing and data-driven strategy implementation. She has a unique ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly strategies, ensuring that data-driven initiatives align with organizational goals and drive actionable results. Leading a dynamic team of 50 data professionals, including engineers, scientists, AI specialists, analysts and database administrators, Jessica oversees the State Data Strategy and the State Data Platform. This platform enhances data sharing, reporting and analytics, artificial intelligence, and data-driven insights across state agencies.

A pioneer in public sector AI implementation, Jessica introduced GenAI to the State of Oklahoma and authored the State Standard for AI Usage, setting the foundation for emerging technologies. She directs the state's AI strategy, guiding agencies in developing their AI frameworks and roadmaps. Additionally, Jessica led the State Landing Page project, creating a citizen-centric digital experience.

In her spare time, Jessica enjoys reading, beach vacations, and spending quality time with her husband, their four daughters, an elderly dog and two playful kittens.

Dan was raised in the Mid-Hudson Valley region of New York and currently lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with his wife and three children.
