In June of 2021, Pam Melroy assumed office as the Deputy Administrator of NASA. She’s a retired Air Force Colonel with hundreds of combat (and combat-support) hours and stops at Lockheed Martin, the Federal Aviation Administration, and DARPA. Melroy also honed her skills as an astronaut – serving as one of only two women to command a space shuttle.
