Vice Admiral Kelly Aeschbach
Commander, Naval Information Forces
U.S. Navy
VADM Kelly Aeschbach assumed command of Naval Information Forces (NAVIFOR) in May 2021. NAVIFOR is the Type Commander for all Naval Information Warfare Forces.
VADM Aeschbach previously served as the Commander, Office of Naval Intelligence and Director, National Maritime Intelligence-Integration Office. Her other Flag Officer assignments include Director of Intelligence, U.S. Strategic Command, in Omaha, Nebraska and Deputy Director of Intelligence at Headquarters, Resolute Support, Afghanistan. From 2013 to 2015, she was Commanding Officer for Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic in Norfolk, Virginia.
Her operational assignments include Patrol Squadron (VP) 6 with deployments to Adak, Alaska and Okinawa, Japan and Amphibious Squadron 1, where she deployed to the Western Pacific and the Arabian Gulf. She also served with Carrier Strike Group NINE and took part in Operation Enduring Freedom.
VADM Aeschbach’s ashore assignments include Joint Intelligence Center Pacific in Aiea, Hawaii; Tactical Training Group Pacific in San Diego, California; Naval Personnel Command in Millington, Tennessee; U.S. Naval Forces Europe in London; U.S. Special Operations Command in Tampa, Florida; as a Military Fellow at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence in McLean, Virginia; the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations Staff at the Pentagon; and Naval Information Forces in Suffolk, Virginia.
VADM Aeschbach is a 1990 graduate of George Washington University. She received her commission through the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps and was designated as a Naval Intelligence Officer. She holds a Master of Business Administration from San Diego State University.
Lt. Gen. Jerry Glavy
Deputy Commandant for Information
U.S. Marines
Major General Matthew G. Glavy assumed command of U.S. Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command on 2 July 2018.
He was commissioned in May 1986 through the United States Naval Academy. Upon receiving his wings in September of 1988, he was selected to fly the CH-46 Sea Knight.
Assignments in the Operating Forces include: Weapons and Tactics Instructor and Embark Officer, HMM-261 (REIN); Aircraft Maintenance Officer, and Executive Officer, HMM-265 (REIN); Current Operations Officer, G-3, 1st MAW; Commanding Officer, HMM-265 (REIN); and Commanding General, 2d Marine Aircraft Wing.
Assignments in the Supporting Establishment include: Platoon Commander, Officer Candidate School; Operational Test Director, White House Liaison Officer, Presidential Command Pilot and Commanding Officer, HMX-1.
Headquarters and Staff Assignments: Plans, Policy and Operation, HQMC; Information Operations, Joint Staff J3; HQMC Aviation, Expeditionary Enablers Branch; Assistant Deputy Commandant for Aviation, Marine Corp Staff; Deputy Director of Current Operations, United States Cyber Command.
Military Education: The Amphibious Warfare School, Marine Corps Command and Staff College and Marine Corps War College. Master’s degrees in both Military Studies and Strategic Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy.
Aaron Weis
Chief Information Officer

Aaron Weis came to the Department of Defense in 2018, where he was the Senior Advisor to
the DoD CIO. Aaron was subsequently named Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Navy
for Information Management and Department of the Navy Chief Information Officer in
September, 2019. He is the Principal Staff Assistant to the Secretary of the Navy for information
management, digital, data and cyber strategy. In this role, he has led the reinvigoration of the
DON Information Environment through the implementation of the Information Superiority Vision.
Under his leadership, the DON has undertaken a broad Modernization effort, including
deploying M365 to more than 650,000 sailors, marines and civilians, modernizing the DON
networks and driving Innovation through emerging technologies including 5G and LEO satcom.
The DON CIO leads a community of more than 50,000 cyber and IT professionals across the
Navy and Marine Corps.
Previously, Aaron led IT at Axalta Coating Systems, the former DuPont Performance Coatings
business, created in 2013. Aaron came to Axalta in 2015 with the mission to transform the
legacy IT organization and infrastructure into a platform ready for Axalta’s business to grow on.
At Axalta, he has transformed the IT systems by moving completely to cloud delivered
infrastructure, consolidating ERP systems and moving support to offshore captive centers in
India. With the infrastructure and organization transformation complete, focus now turned to the
implementation of SAP S/4 HANA across the enterprise to support the business transformation
priorities of Axalta.
Before moving to Axalta, Aaron was the business unit leader for Boston-based Sensata
Technologies’ Magnetic Speed & Position business, which was acquired from Honeywell in
2010. As business manager and integration leader, Aaron successfully integrated the $200
million P&L into Sensata’s global automotive business and moved three acquired automotive
production plants in Asia and Europe to Sensata’s centralized facilities in China, as well as
creating a 10-year strategic plan for the business that grows revenues to nearly $500 million.
Aaron came to Sensata as the company’s first CIO as a newly independent company. He
started at Sensata in October of 2006 at the former division of Texas Instruments, now Sensata
Technologies, a $3.0 billion leader in the world of Sensors, Electrical Protection and Controls.
Aaron built a global IT team with the charter to develop and deploy a technology infrastructure
and vision for the newly independent company.
Previously, Aaron was Vice President of Business Applications & Enabling Technology for Tyco
International. At Tyco, he was responsible for the coordination, direction, and strategy of the
business application landscape for both corporate and cross-business unit applications. He
also was the leader for IT Vendor Management across the $40 billion enterprise.
Before joining Tyco, he was the Director of Operations and Enabling Services for Siemens
Corporation where he was responsible for building and operating corporate services for use
among 15 U.S. companies and several regions in North and South America.
Aaron holds and MBA from Villanova University and a BA from University of Illinois.
Matt Barry
Chief Operating Officer
HP Federal
Matt Barry is the Chief Operating Officer for HP Federal, a wholly- owned subsidiary of HP Inc., leading the Federal Innovation and Operations teams. In this role, he is responsible for delivering against strategic growth initiatives and orchestrating Federal Operations (across Sales Operations, Order Management, Supply Chain, Finance and Customer Support, among other functions) to maximize client outcomes and business performance. In addition, he is focused on driving a thought leadership agenda to elevate HP Federal’s presence in market and increase our capability and capacity to better serve our government customers. He has also served on the DHS ICT Supply Chain Risk Management Task Force since its inception and is passionate about driving secure end point device environments for our clients.
In his previous role, Matt served as the General Manager of HP’s Mountain West region serving the mission of our State and Local and Education clients across fourteen states aligning client strategy and desired business outcomes.
Before that Matt served as the US Separation Lead Executive for HP Inc. and, as part of the company split, led a team of several hundred professionals to work together to stand up the HP Federal LLC in under six months. The company separation was one of the largest and most complex corporate separations in history. Previously, he served in a variety of leadership roles including Business Operations for the Americas Region, managing Supply Chain Operations for our NA Print Supplies business, and prior to that was responsible for our IA-32 Server WW Product Management team where he consistently delivered against the business unit’s revenue, profit and share goals.
Matt joined HP in 1993 in Palo Alto and has worked in a variety of operations, finance, marketing and business development leadership roles. He is based with his wife, daughter and son in Portland, Oregon. When not working he enjoys spending time with his family, serving on the board of local non-profits and spending time outdoors.
George Jackson

George Jackson is Vice President of events at GovExec – the largest and most-influential media company in the public sector marketplace. George joined GovExec in October of 2020 to enhance the scale of their events and audience experiences.
He graduated from The Ohio State University in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in English. In 2006, he earned his master’s in broadcast journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park.
George spent the first five years of his journalism career at WJHL-TV in Johnson City Tenn. – beginning as an overnight producer for the station’s 6 a.m. broadcast. He advanced to lead on-air reporter for WJHL’s 11 p.m. newscast.
As a reporter, George examined the earnings of two non-profit hospital systems, felony charges filed against a local sheriff, predatory paving companies, a health benefits backlog for local veterans, and a series of cold-case murder investigations. He received an honorable mention for Best TV Reporter in the 2011 Tennessee AP Broadcast awards and won a Best Investigative Reporting award from Media General in 2010.
George joined DC’s ABC affiliate WJLA-TV in 2012 to produce Capital Insider, which won him an Emmy award. One year later, he developed and recorded the pilot episode of Government Matters – a program about the business of government. It debuted as a weekly show on Sunday, August 4th of 2013. George led Government Matters through September of 2020, expanded its reach to a daily worldwide audience, and produced its first feature-length documentary “The Dawn of Generation AI.”
George is from Toledo, Ohio. He lives with his wife, twin daughters, and a pair of rescue dogs in Northern Virginia.
