The applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in combination with cloud computing and data security are limitless. While federal agencies are increasingly implementing AI to safeguard critical assets, the integration of AI comes with a multitude of risks. Generative AI tools like ChatGPT can change threat vectors for cyberattacks, and the uncertainty of where large language models (LLMs) get their data from brings up ethical concerns. Bad actors are also using AI to spread misinformation through deepfakes and create malware from cloud vulnerabilities. There's no doubt that AI will continue to be used for malicious intent. How can government organizations leverage AI to thwart cyberattacks and strengthen their cybersecurity posture?

Forward-thinking leaders are exploring innovative approaches to maximize the potential of AI and revolutionize data security and cloud operations. By enforcing data traceability, continuously monitoring cloud environments, focusing on AI governance and crafting robust incident management strategies, agencies can harness AI to positively shape the future of the public sector cyber landscape. Join GovExec and Palo Alto Networks as we explore how cutting-edge leaders are seamlessly weaving AI into the fabric of their cloud, data and cybersecurity frameworks. Attendees will learn how to combat future threats and take the next steps toward creating a secure, AI-enabled government.

I'm Eden Tesfay, a Prisma Cloud Solutions Architect with Palo Alto Networks. My background involves spearheading digital transformations across various organizations, both large and small, during my tenures at AWS, Splunk, and Software AG. I've invested considerable effort into designing solutions on Azure and AWS, and have successfully implemented Splunk deployments in hybrid and cloud-based settings.

At Palo Alto Networks, I have had the distinct privilege of immersing myself in cloud security, devising strategies that adhere to the best practices recommended by leading Cloud Service Providers such as AWS. On a more personal note, I reside in Richmond, VA, where I navigate a busy life blending work with my children's activities, often multitasking between gymnastics or swim lessons and professional commitments. In my downtime, I enjoy crossfit, baking, and whenever possible, stepping outdoors to appreciate nature.
