Explore the workforce trends you must know to attract and retain talent in 2024.

We’re at an inflection point regarding the future of work and the people who do it. To become a great place to work in 2024 (and beyond), government organizations must make people central to every decision they make by reaffirming their commitment to their employees and the communities they serve. But they will have to do more than just offer vague promises— they must walk the talk and enact real change.

UKG’s Public Sector Senior Fellow Bob Lavigna explores emerging trends that can serve as a roadmap for government organizations to become great places to work for all in Megatrends: The 2024 Workforce Trends in the Public Sector You Should Know. He also provides practical steps to help you and your public-sector organization prepare for changes in 2024.

We will discuss:

  • Redefining the employee/employer relationship: There’s no one-size-fits-all approach.

  • From buying and borrowing to building and mining: We introduce the 4th option in the traditional skills acquisition matrix.

  • The impending environmental, social and governance “gut check”: Intensifying political culture wars are putting organizations’ initiatives, especially DEI&B, under a microscope.
