Digital technologies have unleashed the enormous potential of data collection and analysis as well as, irrevocably changing the way we communicate and share information. Harnessing these digital technologies, specifically cloud innovations, is of utmost importance to the Department of Defense as they strategize ways to prepare for and shape the future of warfare. Consequently, the DoD has invested significant resources into cloud technologies through Joint Warfighter Cloud Capability (JWCC) contracts designed to improve the acquisition process. These investments in cloud innovation and adoption have already drastically developed the way the DOD and Service branches communicate, store, and process information and data. However, new cloud based solutions are always emerging and implementation can be fraught with organizational, technical, and security challenges. Join GovExec as we explore with DoD and industry leaders how the DoD is acquiring, implementing, and modernizing its cloud capabilities to better access the potential of data and find more efficient ways to communicate and share data across the service branches.
