Josh Martin is the Chief Data Officer for the State of Indiana and Director of the Indiana Management Performance Hub, where he leads a dedicated team of problem solvers that provide analytics solutions tailored to address complex management and policy questions enabling improved outcomes for the citizens of Indiana. Josh is a graduate of Purdue University, receiving a B.A. in Political Science and Law and Society, and received his Master of Public Affairs from the Indiana University Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs. He also has significant experience in international affairs and public safety.

Travis brings a pragmatic approach honed through diverse experiences in media to craft impactful event strategies. With a seasoned background at GovExec, Washingtonian Magazine, and Tammy Haddad, he's earned trust as a skilled communicator adept at developing strategic content and securing high-profile speakers.

As the Managing Director of Events at GovExec, Travis orchestrates every aspect of the events department, from strategic planning and client relations to product development and team management. His leadership fosters seamless cross-departmental collaboration, ensuring every event exceeds expectations.

Previously, Travis served as GovExec’s Director of Event Operations and Business Development, steering project teams through complex, multi-sponsor events. His responsibilities included crafting program timelines, curating content, and fostering strong relationships with clients, speakers, and partners.

As Associate Director of Content, Travis spearheaded the development of hundreds of federal and defense-focused programs annually. Additionally, he co-chaired the Equity Team, championing diversity and inclusion initiatives within the organization.

Recognized for his contributions, Travis was awarded the Software & Information Industry Association’s 2022 IMPACT Award for his dedication to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the events sphere.

Travis earned his bachelor's degree with distinction in Anthropology and Spanish from Ohio University before pursuing a master's in public policy, specializing in econometrics at American University.

Based in Washington, D.C., Travis shares his home with his partner and two feline companions.
