As a principal cybersecurity engineer with MITRE, Tom Clancy collaborates with government, industry, and the user community to solve identity, credential, and access management challenges. Working in the public interest, MITRE solves problems for a safer world and addresses the most difficult cyber threats facing the nation. Previously, Tom served in the U.S. Army as a tanker and information systems engineer, and led identity, credential, and access management efforts across the Department of Defense as a member of the Office of the Department of Defense Chief Information Officer. Tom has a master’s degree in computer science from SUNY Stony Brook, a master’s degree in National Resource Strategy from the Eisenhower School, and a bachelor’s degree in systems engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He also holds the Certified Identity Professional certification from IDPro.

Ryan is the Digital Identity Program Lead for the Applied Cybersecurity Division at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). In this role he coordinates digital identity projects, initiatives, and efforts to advance NIST’s standards & guidance and drive foundational research to promote innovation in digital identity. He has contributed to multiple NIST Special Publications (NIST SPs) including NIST SP 800-63 Digital Identity Guidelines. Prior to joining NIST Ryan was a Specialist Leader at Deloitte & Touche where he spent over 10 years providing cybersecurity and identity management subject-matter insights to multiple federal agencies.

Sean Frazier is Federal CSO at Okta. In his role, Sean acts as the voice of the CSO for Okta's federal business. Prior to joining Okta, Sean spent more than 25 years working in technology and public sector security for companies such as Duo Security, Netscape, LoudCloud/Opsware, Proofpoint, Cisco & MobileIron. Sean has helped lead numerous projects used by the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community, including the Fortezza Crypto Card, Defense Messaging System (DMS) and many others. He also has extensive experience in identity and public key infrastructure (PKI), network, applications, mobile and IoT. Sean has testified in front of the U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee on the importance of public/private partnership in protecting the nation’s digital infrastructure. Sean also advises public/private partnership working groups including ACT-IAC, ATARC and many others.
