John Bayliss oversees Washington Metropolitan Council of Government’s  information technology infrastructure, security, and enterprise systems, and supports the regional CIO and CISO committees. He has more than 25 years of IT leadership experience.

Dr Elizabeth Di Bene is a strategic leader with two decades of experience spanning the United States Marine Corps, Federal agencies (DEA, CIA, NGA), and local government. Expert in managing large-scale cybersecurity postures, enterprise risk, and multi-sector compliance. Currently directing Loudoun County’s security program to protect critical data sets and drive business value.

Bill English is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO) for the General Services Administration Office of Inspector General (GSA OIG). Additionally, he chairs the Council of Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) CIO Subcommittee for all 70 Office of Inspector General CIOs. Bill earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Hampden-Sydney College and has recently completed the AI for Decision Making: Business Strategies and Applications Certificate Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr Shaw is a federal enterprise architect specializing in IT Modernization, Cyber Security, and AI within the U.S. Courts ecosystem.

Dr. Beckett is an experienced leader and cyber security professional. She has a terminal degree and several decades of experience in analysis and critical thinking, with the last dozen years dedicated to cybersecurity, including leading highly technical teams, creating innovative employee development programs, and helping to lead significant incident response efforts. Dr. Beckett has participated in numerous executive briefings, including briefing cabinet-level officials at U.S. government agencies. Dr. Beckett taught successfully at the university level for years and has guest lectured at the National Defense University. She is currently the Deputy CISO for Federal Civilian work and Director of Cyber Threat Intelligence for GDIT. is passionate about contributing to the client’s mission and creating a collegial and supportive workplace that allows her colleagues to thrive.

Omar Chaudhry is a strategic enterprise architect at The MITRE Corporation, where he leads technology innovation and infrastructure programs supporting critical national research and engineering missions. With a nontraditional path from mechanical engineering to IT—and deep expertise in Zero Trust, multi-cloud, and federal cybersecurity governance—he focuses on aligning technology to mission impact and advancing the field through leadership and teaching.

Jonathan Flack is a veteran security and infrastructure engineer with Tensley Consulting. Tensley is a trusted provider of top-tier capabilities to the US Government including Zero Trust Platform & Systems Engineering, SIGINT Operations (Engineering and Signals Analysis), Cybersecurity, and SETA Support.

Jonathan has over 35 years of experience in large-scale distributed and hybrid computing environments, is co-author of the CSA’s Zero Trust Guiding Principles, and a widely published author on topics including IAM, and Machine Identity, and recipient of patents relating to sophisticated network encryption methods.

Erik Jacobsen is a Manager and Network Subject Matter Professional at KPMG with more than 25 years of experience in enterprise IT. He began his career as a Network Engineer with a Fortune 500 company before joining KPMG’s Network Infrastructure Technology consulting practice in 2017, where he brought deep, real‑world expertise in network architecture and network security.

At KPMG, Erik has led numerous large‑scale network and data center transformation initiatives across commercial, public sector, and government clients. He serves as KPMG’s senior Illumio Partner Delivery Services Architect, combining hands‑on technical experience with KPMG’s proven delivery methodologies to execute enterprise‑wide zero trust and segmentation programs. Most recently, he led the technical delivery team for the U.S. Air Force’s NIPR Illumio deployment.

Erik holds CISSP and Illumio EPIC certifications and is a speaker and demonstrator of Illumio solutions at U.S. Air Force cybersecurity conferences and industry events.

Gary Barlet currently serves as Illumio’s Public Sector Chief Technology Officer where he is responsible for working with Federal and SLED agencies, system integrators and the broader ecosystem to build in Zero Trust Segmentation as a strategic component of the government Zero Trust architecture. 

Prior to joining Illumio, he served as Chief Information Officer for the Office of the Inspector General, United States Postal Service for almost 10 years.  He is a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Air Force where he served as a Cyberspace Operations Officer for 20 years,  holding key leadership positions including on the Air Force and Air National Guard CIO staffs and as a communications squadron commander.

Mark Gardner serves as Illumio’s Senior Director of National SLED Sales.  For over 30 years in IT, telecommunications, and technology solutions sales, Mark has been supporting state and local government, higher education, K12, public utilities, tribal, and public sector customers maximize cyber resilience and network digital transformation. 

John Kindervag is considered one of the world’s foremost cybersecurity experts. With over 25 years of experience as a practitioner and industry analyst, he is best known for creating the revolutionary Zero Trust Model of Cybersecurity. As Chief Evangelist at Illumio, John Kindervag is responsible for accelerating awareness and adoption of Zero Trust Segmentation.

Most recently, John led cybersecurity strategy as a Senior Vice President at On2IT. He previously served as Field CTO at Palo Alto Networks and, before that, spent over eight years as a Vice President and Principal Analyst on the security and risk team at Forrester Research.

In 2021, John was named to the President’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC) Zero Trust Sub-Committee and was a primary author of the NSATC Zero Trust report that was delivered to the President. That same year, he was also named CISO Magazine’s Cybersecurity Person of the Year. John serves as an advisor to several organizations, including the Cloud Security Alliance and Venture Capital firm NightDragon.

Kevin Reed is a seasoned leader with over three decades of experience in the technology industry, specializing in public sector and federal programs. As Regional Vice President, Public Sector at Illumio, he drives cybersecurity initiatives that protect government agencies from evolving threats.

Previously, Kevin held leadership roles at VMware, including Director of Federal Networking and Security Solutions, and at Splunk, where he drove data analytics solutions for National Security Programs. He also spent nine years at Cisco.  He led the Federal Data Center Team which was responsible for bringing new products to market across Special Programs and Defense.
