Joey Bishop is a Senior Principal VMware Cloud Solution Architect in Oracle’s Government Defense and Intelligence (GDI) business unit. As a former Marine Sergeant (2008-2016) and former Microsoft Azure Solution Architect (2016-2018), Joey has consulted on security and best practice for thousands of hybrid and multi-cloud migrations. Joey holds a Master of Science in Information Technology degree and dozens of cloud, security and database certifications including Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC2) Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Cloud Solutions Architect - Professional (OCI CSA-P), VMware Certified Implementation Specialist (VCIX), VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP), and VMware Certified Professional (VCP), and is defending a design for VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX) Data Center Virtualization (DCV) this year (2024).
