Leslie Casson Stevens has been engaged in government financial management for over 30 years. She began her career as an auditor, where she led the audits of large local government organizations and publicly traded corporations. As a management consultant, she implemented financial management systems at several US Federal government agencies and consulted with a variety of organizations on organizational and financial management challenges. Leslie served as the Comptroller of the Smithsonian Institution, where she was responsible for Institution-wide accounting and financial reporting operations and the financial management automated systems.


Leslie joined SAP in 1998 when SAP first entered the US Federal government market. She was a key member of the team that extended the SAP core financial management functionality to accommodate the requirements of US Federal government accounting and reporting. For many years, she led the team of solution engineers who assessed the fit of SAP functionality with customer requirements and demonstrated system capabilities. Today, she is a member of the Industry Executive Advisory team, supporting the US Federal government market. She is an active participant in Federal financial management industry organizations. Leslie achieved Certified Public Accountant and Certified Government Financial Manager designations.
