The US Department of Defense interacts and communicates with coalition mission partners and allies on a daily basis. It is imperative for SOF mission success for partners to securely communicate, collaborate, and share sensitive or classified information in real-time. The path forward relies on what the Department of Defense calls Mission Partner Environments (MPEs). However, there are many logistical, technological, operational, security, and policy-based challenges to the implementation of MPEs.
