Ready to Rebuild: Using Federal Funds to Bridge the Data Gap

One of the largest public-works investments in history, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), is set to deliver billions in new spending. Contrary to the American Rescue Plan, the BIL creates a larger and more complex funding environment. As such, state and local IT leaders are appointing infrastructure coordinators or czars to use data so that they can make good use of their share of the money. But what are the efficient strategies leaders are implementing to maximize the new funding and opportunities offered by the BIL? During this session, leaders will describe the strategic techniques helping them move into a new age of data-driven government. They will explore the paths enabling them to improve the quality of their data and analytics projects so they can build smarter, safer, and stronger communities.
